Hallowell® Hi-Tech® metal shelving is engineered for fast and easy assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with varying capacities to accommodate specific shelving needs. The adjustable extra heavy-duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edge, and each shelf is stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold-rolled sheet steel, incorporating roll-formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside, with welds spaced 3" on center for enhanced strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure rigid corners and additional strength. The top surface is punched to allow for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide shelves that are 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while other sizes feature 3" center punchings. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment. Additionally, the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
