Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving is meticulously engineered for rapid assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to cater to varying shelving capacity needs. The heavy-duty adjustable shelves feature two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for easy identification. Class 1 shelves are constructed from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, the return bends are resistance welded to the underside for enhanced durability. The welds are strategically spaced 3" on center to maximize strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel and all corners are lapped and resistance welded for additional stability. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces also feature punchings for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to withstand impact loads. This shelving unit supports uniformly distributed loads of up to 800 pounds.
