Hallowell® Hi-Tech® metal shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, offering both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to satisfy various shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable extra heavy-duty shelves feature dual ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, with identification stamped in the top left corner. Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll-formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside for enhanced strength. Welds are spaced 3" on center to maximize durability, while the sides are triple-flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for additional strength. The top surface is punctured for attaching shelf dividers along 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide and 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. Front and rear surfaces are also punctured for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads. These shelves are capable of supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
