Hallowell® Hi-Tech® metal shelving is engineered for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable extra heavy duty shelves feature formed ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges that include return bends, resistance welded to the underside for enhanced durability. Welds are spaced 3" on center to maximize strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. Each corner is lapped and resistance welded, ensuring a rigid structure and added strength. The top surface allows for the attachment of shelf dividers positioned from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep; other sizes are configured on 3" centers. Both the front and rear surfaces are designed for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge serves to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
