Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is specifically engineered for rapid assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with varying shelf capacities including medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty options to accommodate your shelving needs. The Class 2 shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges that have return bends, all resistance welded to the underside for enhanced durability. The welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. Each of the four corners is lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with other sizes being punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are designed for securing accessories, and a tubular front edge is included to guard against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
