Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is specially designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the system includes five adjustable shelves, each formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and stamped in the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded to the underside of the shelf, while welds are spaced 3" on center for maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads while supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
