Hallowell® Hi-Tech® metal shelving is specifically crafted for efficient assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles along with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable extra heavy duty shelves are constructed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges that have return bends resistance welded to the underside, ensuring maximum strength with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right at 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, suitable for uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
