Hallowell® Hi-Tech® metal shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable extra heavy-duty shelves are constructed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edge and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll-formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced 3" on center, ensuring maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to provide a rigid corner and enhance shelf strength. The top surface features punch holes for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads. The shelving is engineered to support uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
