Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is crafted for efficient assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to satisfy specific shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the unit includes 5 adjustable shelves, featuring formed ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, with identification stamps in the top left corner. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, exhibiting roll formed rectangular tubular front and rear edges with return bends, all resistance welded to enhance structural integrity. Welds are spaced 3" on center for maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. Each corner is lapped and resistance welded, ensuring a rigid construction that adds extra strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide shelves and at 3" centers for all other sizes; front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching various accessories. The tubular front edge is specifically designed to withstand impact loads, accommodating uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
