Hallowell® Hi-Tech® metal shelving is engineered for quick assembly and installation, featuring options in open and closed styles along with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves tailored to meet various shelving capacity needs. The extra heavy-duty adjustable shelves are structured with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for easy identification. These Class 2 shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, boasting roll-formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, with return bends resistance welded to the underside for enhanced support. Welds are spaced 3" on center to maximize strength, while the triple-flanged sides create a robust channel. The four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added stability. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers from left to right on the front and back for shelves measuring 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, both the front and rear surfaces are punched to accommodate various accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
