Hallowell® Hi-Tech® metal shelving is engineered for quick assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves tailored to various shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable extra heavy-duty shelves are constructed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, with identification stamped on the top left corner. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll-formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, with return bends that are resistance welded to the shelf's underside. The welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. Both front and rear surfaces are designed for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is crafted to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
