Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves tailored to specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium-duty shelves feature two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are constructed from cold-rolled sheet steel, featuring roll-formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside for enhanced strength. Welds are spaced 3" on center for maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. The lapped corners are resistance welded to ensure rigidity and add additional strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while other sizes feature punches on 3" centers. Front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge provides protection against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
