Hallowell® Hi-Tech® metal shelving is specially designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles, with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable shelves are extra heavy duty, formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf, ensuring maximum strength with welds spaced 3" on center. Sides are triple flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to provide a rigid corner and enhance shelf strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, accommodating uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
