Hallowell® Hi-Tech® metal shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable extra heavy duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced 3" on center to provide maximum strength, with sides that are triple flanged to form a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance the shelf's rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers from left to right on 36" wide shelves with depths of 12", 15", 18", and 24", while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Both front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, allowing for uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
