Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to accommodate specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium-duty shelves feature two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. The Class 0 shelves are constructed from cold-rolled sheet steel, with roll-formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, featuring return bends resistance welded to the underside for enhanced durability. Welds are spaced 3 inches on center, providing maximum strength, while the triple-flanged sides form a channel for added stability. Each shelf has lapped and resistance welded corners, contributing to a rigid structure. The top surface is punched to allow the attachment of shelf dividers on 1-1/2 inch centers for shelves measuring 36 inches wide by 12, 15, 18, and 24 inches deep, whereas other sizes are punched on 3-inch centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
