Hallowell® Hi-Tech® metal shelving is engineered for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to accommodate varying shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable extra heavy-duty shelves are constructed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and feature stamping on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, with roll formed rectangular tubular-shaped front and rear edges that have return bends resistant welded to the underside, ensuring maximum strength. Welds are spaced 3" on center, and the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. All corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers at the front and back for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to safeguard against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
