Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, featuring options in both open and closed styles with varying capacities, including medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves. The adjustable medium duty shelves are designed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are marked on the top left corner for easy identification. Class 0 shelves are constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, with roll formed rectangular tubular edges that have return bends resistance welded to the underside, ensuring substantial strength through welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for enhanced rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for the installation of shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers on 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while other sizes have punching on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are pre-punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads. The shelving system supports uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
