Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for efficient assembly and installation, offering both open and closed styles with varying shelf capacities including medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty options. The Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll-formed rectangular tubular front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside for enhanced durability. Welds are strategically spaced 3" on center to maximize strength, while triple flanged sides form a channel for stability. Each shelf has lapped corners that are resistance welded for added strength, and the top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for specific sizes, including 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge provides protection against impact loads, making the shelving suitable for uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
