Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to specific shelving capacity requirements. The class 2 shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, with resistance welded return bends on the underside for enhanced durability. Welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers front and back for the 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are equipped for attaching various accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to absorb impact loads. This shelving system supports uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
