Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is engineered for fast and straightforward assembly and installation, offering both open and closed styles along with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves tailored to meet specific shelving capacity needs. The adjustable medium-duty shelves feature a design with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are made from cold-rolled sheet steel, featuring roll-formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced every 3 inches to maximize strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure a rigid corner and enhanced strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2 inch centers for shelves measuring 36 inches wide by 12, 15, 18, and 24 inches deep, with all other sizes punched on 3-inch centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for accommodating accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, capable of supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
