Hallowell Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, featuring open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity requirements. The Class 2 shelves are manufactured from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, forming a durable structure with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges and return bends resistance welded to the shelf's underside. Welds are placed 3" on center for optimal strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded, enhancing the shelf's rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. Both front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories. The tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
