Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, offered in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity needs. The medium duty adjustable shelves feature two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are made from cold rolled sheet steel, with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges and return bends that are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. The welds are set 3" on center for optimal strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. Each corner is lapped and resistance welded to enhance rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers from left to right for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 400 pounds.
