Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is engineered for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles. The shelving options include medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to meet specific capacity requirements. The medium duty adjustable shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. The Class 0 shelves are constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, which are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. The welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to form a channel and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for enhanced rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep; other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
