Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is a robust shelving line engineered to meet the demands of industrial applications while providing versatility for modern facilities. Each free-standing shelving unit is constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, designed for quick assembly and installation. The shelves feature two formed ribs along the horizontal edges and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 1 shelves are made from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and have roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, with return bends resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded, providing a rigid corner and added strength to the shelf. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide shelves that are 12", 15", 18", or 24" deep, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 800 pounds.
