Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is a complete shelving line crafted from cold rolled sheet steel, designed to withstand most industrial applications while providing versatility for modern facilities. Each shelving unit is engineered for longevity, maintaining its integrity during daily use. The Hi-Tech® free-standing units are fast and easy to assemble, featuring formed ribs along the horizontal edges and stamped identification on the top left corner. Class 1 shelves are constructed from heavy gauge steel with roll-formed rectangular tubular front and rear edges reinforced with return bends, and welds spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers on 36" wide shelves (available in depths of 12", 15", 18", and 24"), with other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachments, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 800 pounds.
