Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is an industrial-grade shelving solution designed for strength and versatility in modern facilities. Each shelving unit is engineered for long-lasting durability, made from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel for optimal performance. The free-standing shelving features two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and is clearly stamped in the top left corner for identification. Class 1 shelves are constructed with roll formed rectangular tubular front and rear edges, with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside, and welds spaced 3" on center for maximum strength. The sides have a triple flanged design forming a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance structural integrity. The top surface is pre-punched to allow for the installation of shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge provides protection against impact loads. Each shelf is rated for uniformly distributed loads of up to 800 pounds.
