Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is engineered for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to specific shelving capacity needs. The adjustable medium duty shelves are constructed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and feature a stamped identification mark on the top left corner. Class 0 shelves are made from cold rolled sheet steel, with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges featuring return bends that are resistance welded to the underside for enhanced durability. Welds are spaced 3" on center to maximize strength, while triple flanged sides create a robust channel structure. Each of the four corners is lapped and resistance welded to further enhance rigidity and shelf strength. The top surface is designed with punch holes for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers on the front and back for shelves measuring 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to mitigate the effects of impact loads. This shelving can support uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
