Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves tailored to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded to the underside, ensuring durability with welds spaced 3" on center for maximum strength. Triple flanged sides form a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide shelves, with 12", 15", 18", and 24" depths, while other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Both front and rear surfaces are also punched to accommodate accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads. The shelving system supports uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
