Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate varying shelving capacity requirements. The medium duty adjustable shelves feature a design with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped at the top left corner for identification. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the Class 0 shelves possess roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with resistance welded return bends on the underside, ensuring maximum strength with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added stability. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Both front and rear surfaces allow for the attachment of various accessories, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to protect against impact loads, enabling the shelves to support uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
