Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves designed to accommodate specific shelving capacity needs. The adjustable medium duty shelves are constructed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are stamped on the top left corner for easy identification. Class 0 shelves are made from cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll-formed rectangular tubular front and rear edges with resistance welded return bends on the underside. The welds are spaced 3" on center for maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. Each shelf's corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched to allow for the attachment of shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep; all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for accessory attachment and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
