Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is a complete shelving line engineered for strength and versatility in industrial applications, designed for a lifetime of daily use without compromising integrity. This free-standing shelving is constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, allowing for fast and easy assembly and installation. Each unit features formed ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, with a stamped identification in the top left corner. The Class 1 shelves are made from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and incorporate roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, with return bends resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced 3" on center for maximum strength, and the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. The design includes lapped and resistance welded corners for added rigidity, and the top surface is punched for shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for specific sizes (36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves), while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to provide protection against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 800 pounds.
