Potentially explosive atmospheres exist in many areas of industry, and explosive zones carry extremely strict guidelines and equipment requirements. Oz Lifting Products' spark resistant chain hoists are manufactured in compliance with the EU's explosion-proof standard ATEX94/9/EC and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, with an explosion-proof level reaching EX II2 GD C IIIC T135°C. These hoists are suitable for potentially explosive atmospheres including Zone 1 & 2 (gas) as well as Zone 21 & 22 (dust). Key features include a Type EX-F3 spark resistant design, a unique hand wheel that allows the hand chain to feed directly into the wheel sprocket from multiple angles, requiring 20% to 35% less lifting effort compared to competitors. They feature fully enclosed gearing to protect against contamination, stainless steel hooks with safety latches attached via bolt and lock nut for easy field replacement, a stainless steel hand chain with a durable non-oily finish, and a Dacromet® finish load chain for spark resistance. The fully machined lift wheel ensures smooth operation, and the hoist can be used for both lifting and pulling tasks, offering versatility. Its low headroom design maximizes lift while minimizing space usage, and it includes a weatherproof load holding brake with a protected Weston B design.
