Potentially explosive atmospheres exist in many areas of industry, necessitating the use of equipment that adheres to strict guidelines. Oz Lifting Products' spark resistant chain hoists are manufactured in compliance with the EU's explosion-proof standard ATEX 94/9/EC and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, with an explosion-proof level of Ex II 2 GD C IIIC T135°C. These hoists are suitable for potentially explosive environments including Zone 1 & 2 (gas) as well as Zone 21 & 22 (dust). Key features include a unique hand wheel design that allows the hand chain to feed directly into the wheel sprocket from various angles, minimizing the risk of jamming while the operator stands to the side or above the load. The hoists require 20% - 35% less effort than competitors, making them ideal for frequent lifting or pulling applications. Additional attributes include fully enclosed gearing for protection against contamination, heavy-duty stainless steel hooks with safety latches that facilitate easy latch changing in the field, a durable non-oily stainless steel hand chain, and a Dacromet® finish load chain. The fully machined lift wheel ensures smooth operation, while the low headroom design maximizes lift capability in restricted spaces. A weatherproof load holding brake is also included for enhanced safety and reliability.
