Oz Lifting Products' spark resistant chain hoists are designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, adhering to the EU's explosion-proof standard ATEX 94/9/EC and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. These hoists reach an explosion-proof level of Ex II2 GD C IIIC T135°C and are suitable for environments classified as Zone 1 & 2 (gas) as well as Zone 21 & 22 (dust). The hoists feature a Type Ex-F3 spark resistant design and a unique hand wheel that allows the hand chain to feed into the wheel sprocket from various angles, enabling operation from the side or above the load without jamming. They require 20% - 35% less effort to lift heavy loads compared to competitors, ideal for frequent lifting and pulling applications. Constructed with fully enclosed gearing, these hoists protect against contamination and debris, while stainless steel hooks and safety latches ensure durability and ease of maintenance with a bolt and lock nut connection. Additionally, the stainless steel hand chain provides a non-oily finish, and the Dacromet® finish load chain offers a durable spark resistant surface. The fully machined lift wheel ensures smooth operation, and the hoists can be used for both lifting and pulling, enhancing versatility. Designed for low headroom applications, they maximize lift while occupying minimal space, and the weatherproof load holding brake is equipped with a protected Weston B.
