OZ Lifting Products' spark resistant chain hoists are designed for potentially explosive atmospheres, meeting the EU's explosion-proof standard ATEX 94/9/EC as well as the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. The explosion-proof classification reaches Ex II 2 GD C IIIC T135°C, making these hoists suitable for use in Zone 1 & 2 (gas) and Zone 21 & 22 (dust). The features of these hoists include a Type EX-F3 spark resistant designation, a unique hand wheel design that allows the hand chain to feed into the wheel sprocket from various angles, and a requirement for 20% - 35% less lifting effort compared to competitors, enabling easy handling of heavy loads, particularly in frequent lifting or pulling scenarios. The fully enclosed gearing protects the internal components from contamination, while the stainless steel hooks and safety latches are designed with a bolt and lock nut connection for easy field replacement. The stainless steel hand chain offers a durable non-oily finish, complemented by a DACROMET® finish load chain that provides spark resistance. Additionally, the fully machined lift wheel ensures smooth operation, and the hoist is versatile enough for both lifting and pulling applications. Designed for low headroom, it maximizes lift capability in restricted spaces, and the weatherproof load holding brake is safeguarded with a protected Weston B brake system.
