This optional smart switch for the AIMS Power dual sensing isolator provides manual control that links two batteries together with the push of a button, allowing for current flow for 60 seconds without the alternator, even if both batteries are below 12.7V. The dual sensing battery isolator, identified as part # BATISO300, monitors both the starting battery and the auxiliary battery, and will connect them if it detects that either battery exceeds 13.2 volts. This feature allows for charging of the main battery from a solar panel or battery charger connected to the auxiliary battery. To prevent a drained starter battery, the solenoid opens and isolates the starter battery from the auxiliary battery when the entire battery system drops below 12.7 volts. The product includes a safe method to charge the auxiliary battery while driving, providing cost-effective protection against a flat start battery, with the smart battery isolator continuously monitoring both battery voltages.
