The Aims Power™ battery voltage regulator and isolator is designed to protect batteries using solid state technology by automatically disconnecting a 12V DC source when the voltage is unsafe or out of the operating range. This device supports various battery technologies, allowing lithium batteries to be utilized in any application, as the regulator prevents overcharging. It features a compact and straightforward 2-wire terminal configuration for easy installation in standard 2-wire 12V applications, such as vehicles, wind, hydro, or any other 12V systems. The regulator continuously monitors the input voltage, supplying power to the output terminal when the voltage is between 9.4 to 14.4V. If the voltage drops below 9.2V or exceeds 14.6V, power is cut off at the output terminal to prevent damage to the loads. Additionally, it acts as an isolator, automatically disconnecting loads when the battery voltage is outside the operating range to protect the main starting battery. The regulator includes several safety features, such as low and high voltage protection, with a dedicated alternator port and the capability to handle currents greater than 100A/200A while ensuring that it resets once current is within the operating range. The specifications include a maximum capacity of 100 amps for alternators or other DC devices and a simple two-wire design for installation ease. The regulator will disconnect the relay after one minute for currents greater than 100A/200A and less than 125A/250A, after 10 seconds for currents greater than 125A/250A and less than 150A/300A, and immediately disconnect for currents greater than 150A/300A, with a reset time of two minutes once current is restored within the normal operating range.
