Product Details
Atmospheric air contains water vapor in varying amounts depending on the ambient conditions. When air is compressed, water vapor is carried along with it, and while some is typically removed by a compressed air aftercooler discharged to the distribution system, a significant portion remains. This residual water vapor can cool and condense within the piping system, leading to liquid water accumulation that can cause damage to pipes, receivers, and pneumatic equipment. Over time, condensate poses risks such as corrosion in the air distribution network, increasing pressure drops from pipe scale and rust, and damage to joints that can lead to air leaks, ultimately raising production costs. Additionally, excess water can cause malfunction of pneumatic equipment, reduce the lifespan of components, and contribute to production losses. In processes where compressed air contacts final products, issues such as product contamination can arise, diminishing efficiency and leading to spoilage; this is particularly critical in industries like pharmaceuticals and electronics, where condensate can result in harmful and costly contamination. The kit includes moisture separators designed to improve air quality and mitigate these risks.
