The Morse® Tilt-To-Load Drum Rotator is designed to tumble a drum corner-over-corner for effective mixing of its contents. The unit allows for the loading of an upright drum at floor level and is powered by a single-phase 60Hz motor, with motor controls sold separately. Compliance with OSHA regulations is essential, as it requires an enclosure with an interlock to enhance safety while mixing within a closed drum, thereby reducing hazards such as spills and contamination risks. The Morse® 310 Series models facilitate the hydraulic tilting of the drum into a rotating position, allowing operators to control both the tilting action and the hydraulic motor that drives the rotation. This efficient design minimizes time, labor, and operating costs by simplifying the process of getting the drum into the mixing position. It can rotate various sized drums weighing up to 800 lb. (363 kg) at speeds ranging from 5 to 20 RPM. To ensure safety, all Morse® rotators must be installed in accordance with OSHA requirements for enclosure and safety interlock, ensuring the rotator automatically stops when the enclosure door is opened. Power connections and motor controls must adhere to applicable codes.
