The Starrett® self-centering telescoping gage includes two telescoping arms and a set of six gages (579A, B, C, D, E, F) housed in a case. The precision ground radius on each gage provides two-point contact for maximum accuracy, while the greater range and constant spring tension ensure uniform contact pressure. Both plungers can be easily locked at any desired setting. The handles can be individually ordered, with options for handles longer than 12" (300mm) available on special order. The rigidly attached handles to the contact plungers are automatically self-centering, and the ends of both contacts are hardened and ground to a radius to enable proper clearance on the smallest hole the gage will enter. The handle length ranges from 2-3/8" to 3-1/4" (60-82mm).
