Labels are designed to help meet D.O.T. (49 CFR part 172) and EPA (40 CFR part 262.31-32) regulations for labeling containers of hazardous waste. Specifications do not include size or color of labels; however, regulations require that the labels are durable, printed in English, written sharply, and in contrasting colors. The view of hazardous waste labels must not be impaired by other labels, attachments, or markings. These labels feature a sign legend that includes materials for recycling, originator information, name, address, city, state, ZIP, and contents, with space provided to list the specific contents inside the container. The kit comes with a pack of six labels, suitable for limited outdoor exposure, and is made with a gloss surface that easily wipes clean of dirt, dust, and other liquids. Additionally, the labels have a permanent acrylic adhesive back and a printed non-coat surface that allows for writing with a pen or marker. When ordering, customers can specify color(s) or a clear background where applicable, and the labels are designed for easy mounting as a self-adhesive product.
