Labels help meet D.O.T. (49 CFR Part 172) and EPA (40 CFR Part 262.31-32) regulations for labeling substance containers for hazardous waste. Specifications do not include size or color of labels; however, regulations do require that the labels be durable, in English, written sharply, and in contrasting colors. The view of hazardous waste labels is not to be impaired by other labels, attachments, or markings. Place this label on a container to indicate that all the contents will be recycled. The key features include a sign legend that specifies materials for recycling, originator information, name, address, city, state, ZIP, and contents, with space provided to list the contents inside. The labels come in a 6 quantity, designed for cost-effective use in high volumes. They feature a matte surface that can be easily written on with pen or pencil and are made from 60-lb. paper coated on the back with permanent acrylic adhesive and a peel-off liner. The labels are available in any standard background color, as well as select fluorescent backgrounds, and are designed for self-adhesive mounting.
