The RD2HX kit is designed for use in solid and hollow wall, concrete, block, or brick applications. When applied in hollow walls like drywall or plywood, the red wings expand to enhance installation security and increase pull-out load capability. The anchor includes a lip to prevent it from slipping into deep holes or hollow walls. For hard wall installations, the size of the anchor dictates the required hole size, while for drywall or softer materials, it is advisable to utilize the smallest hole that allows for a snug fit of the anchor. However, these anchors are not suitable for overhead applications or instances where holding values are critical. The kit features a tapered body and collar to ensure it does not fall through base materials.
