The K6HX kit is designed for use in solid and hollow wall applications, including concrete, block, or brick. It is particularly effective in hollow walls, such as drywall or plywood, where the red wings expand to enhance security and increase pull-out load. The anchor features a lip to prevent it from falling into deep holes or hollow walls, and for hard wall installations, the size of the anchor should dictate the hole size. In drywall or softer applications, using the smallest hole necessary for a snug fit of the anchor is recommended. However, these anchors are not suitable for overhead applications or environments where holding values are critical. Key features include a tapered body and a collar which assists in preventing the anchor from falling through the base material.
