Sheet metal screws with combo drive, i.e., slotted & Phillips, are a versatile fastener featuring specially hardened spaced threads and sharp points, capable of tapping their own internal threads. Typical applications for these screws include fastening light metal sheets, wood, and plastic. They are manufactured with case hardened carbon steel and finished with a zinc plating. The screws comply with ASME B18.3, which covers the general requirements for the dimensions and performance of steel sheet metal screws.
