Silicon bronze split lock washers are manufactured with a trapezoidal cross section that deflects under load and can be used with or without a silicon bronze flat washer. They provide marginal resistance to vibration loosening and are ideal in applications where fasteners have a tendency to rotate or lose friction. Featuring special attributes such as the ability to tolerate extreme temperatures, being harder than brass, and offering excellent corrosion resistance, these washers are particularly suited for highly corrosive environments or marine applications. They comply with ASME B18.21.1 and are designed for general-purpose use.
