Silicon bronze split lock washers are manufactured with a trapezoidal cross section that deflects under load and can be used with or without a silicon bronze flat washer. They provide marginal resistance to vibration loosening and are ideal in applications where fasteners have a tendency to rotate or lose friction. These washers are particularly suited for highly corrosive environments or marine applications. They are covered by ASME B18.21.1 and tolerate extreme temperatures, are harder than brass, and exhibit excellent corrosion resistance. Suitable for general purpose use, these washers offer reliable performance in demanding conditions.
