The North Butyl™ - B131 is a smooth finish unsupported 11" butyl glove that is 13 mil thick, designed to provide the highest permeation resistance to vapors and gases, as well as exceptional resistance to a broad range of toxic chemicals, making it suitable for critical applications. The glove features a solvent-based, multi-dip manufacturing process that creates multiple layers of polymer, delivering superior quality. It is highly resistant to ketones such as MEK, MIBK, and acetone, as well as esters like tricresyl phosphate, amyl acetate, and ethyl acetate, ozone, and oxidizing chemicals including alcohols, alkalies, hydrogen peroxide, and acids. The glove is particularly suited for applications involving highly toxic chemical hazards, including chemical weapons. It offers a soft, flexible feel that reduces hand fatigue and enhances worker comfort, even at low temperatures. The B131 is available in sizes 7-11 with options for custom lengths between 24 in and 36 in (+/- 1 in). It should be stored in its original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and chemicals, with a recommended temperature range of 50°F to 86°F (10°C to 30°C). The glove complies with OSHA standard 29 CFR 1915.157 and 21 CFR 177, meeting USDA and FDA regulations for food contact.
