Fibre-Metal® Roughneck caps with the Supereight suspension are the industry standard for heavy-duty protection, particularly in construction sites, steel plants, foundries, forges, fabrication shops, and chemical plants. These caps are part of the Roughneck® P2 series, made from a proprietary injection-molded fiberglass compound that offers exceptional impact and crack resistance, being eight times stronger than common high-density polyethylene (HDPE) cap shells. The caps exhibit best-in-class heat resistance, meeting ANSI-Z89.1-2009 impact resistance tests at extreme temperatures up to 370°F (P2A) and up to 500°F (P2HN). Each cap features a solid color resin that provides a permanent, no-chip, no-peel finish, and they are available in nine popular colors. The smooth, matte finish enhances logo imprints for improved appearance and durability. The Supereight suspension is designed to balance and spread weight over a wide area for added comfort and impact protection, with options for Fibre-Metal's non-slip/non-strip ratchet, Swing Strap™, or Tablok™ headgear. The caps are compatible with the Quick-Lok® or Speedy® Loop helmet attachment system for faceshields and welding helmets. For assurance of performance, all Roughneck caps are factory-assembled and SEI third-party certified to meet ANSI Z89.1-2009 Type I Class G (including Quick-Lok® model) and CSA Z94.1-2005 Type I Class G or C (Class C for Quick-Lok® model). The materials used include injection-molded fiberglass.
