The ligature resistant recessed shelf is constructed of 16-gauge, Type 304 stainless steel, featuring exposed surfaces that are powder coated in white for enhanced durability. The shelf requires a rough wall opening of approximately 16-1/2" x 5-1/2" and a depth of 4-1/4" for proper installation. It comes with eight (8) 1/4"-20 UNC tamper-resistant hex screws and an included 5/32" hex bit for the center reject pin, while wall anchors must be provided by the installer. For installation, the recessed shelf serves as a template to locate mounting points, enabling the installer to drill holes for wall anchors and secure the shelf using the supplied tamper-resistant screws.
